The advantages of artificial colored sand

The main role played by the application of colored sand in real stone paint is color expression and increasing strength. Compared to natural colored sand, the advantages of artificial colored sand mainly include the following aspects: The main role played by colored sand in real stone paint is color expression and increasing strength. Compared to natural colored sand, the advantages of artificial colored sand mainly include the following aspects:
1. Quartz sand has good hardness;
Sand needs to have a certain hardness to ensure that it will not break during transportation, production, and application. Artificial colored sand made of quartz sand with high silicon content, usually with a Mohs hardness of 6-7, can meet the strength requirements of colored sand in production, transportation, and use. Different colors of natural colored sand have different hardness due to their different materials. Most natural colored sand has a relatively low hardness, usually ranging from 3 to 5 Mohs, which can easily cause cracks during manufacturing and use, resulting in additional color differences.
2. No rust marks;
Natural colored sand itself has a high iron content, which can easily form rust marks on the surface after being made into real stone paint, affecting its aesthetics. Artificial colored sand is wrapped with pure inorganic pigments and will not produce rust marks.
3. Good color stability;
Due to the significant changes in ores and the abundance of impurities, it is difficult to ensure color consistency in natural colored sand. Currently, a common method is to mix hundreds of tons of natural sand into a single color, with each batch forming a batch. There is still a color difference between batches. The raw materials and pigments of artificial colored sand are relatively stable, making it easier to control the color. The color difference between batches will be relatively small, even after many years, the color difference control will be relatively small.
4. &Nbsp; Strong sense of hierarchy
The color of natural sand is generally not too bright, and mixing multiple colors of natural sand and hitting it on the upper layer of the real stone paint board will not have a strong sense of layering, while artificial colored sand has a more vibrant color, showing a stronger sense of layering. Because it is manual color mixing, the color gamut of artificial colored sand will also be wider than that of natural sand.
